Ingredients for steamed chicken with fish sauce

- Whole chicken

- Shallots, green onions, chili peppers, lemongrass, green pepper, kaffir lime leaves

- Vegetables: Lettuce, coriander

- Spices: Ground pepper, fish sauce, salt, seasoning powder, sugar, chili sauce, turmeric powder.

How to make steamed chicken with fish sauce: 

- Peel the shallots, wash the green pepper, and drain. Wash the lemongrass, thinly slice the top, smash the bottom and steam.


Seasoning

- Finely chop the shallots and lemongrass.

- Wash and chop green onions, cilantro and lemon leaves.

- Wash lettuce 2-3 times with water and drain.


Mix chicken marinade

- Mix the chicken marinade: fish sauce, chili sauce, sugar, seasoning powder, turmeric powder in a bowl and stir well until the ingredients dissolve. Next, add chopped shallots, lemongrass, and finely chopped lemon leaves and continue to mix well.


Marinate chicken

- Marinate the chicken: Pour the marinade mixture into the prepared chicken. Use your hands to rub the chicken evenly so that it absorbs all the spices. Marinate the chicken for 20 to 30 minutes.

- Use a large stainless steel bowl, add lemongrass and marinated chicken, green pepper, lemon leaves, and green onions into the chicken's belly.
