Prepare materials:

  • 200g gac
  • 2 bowls of Northern sticky rice
  • 1 teaspoon sugar 
  • 150ml coconut milk 
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 5 ml white wine

Making:

Step 1: Prepare ingredients 

  • Soak sticky rice overnight for about 6-8 hours with a little salt
  • Cut the gac fruit and take out the flesh. 

Step 2: Make sticky rice with gac fruit 

  • Remove the seeds from the gac flesh and mix with 1 tablespoon of white wine. 
  • Mix rice with gac pulp 
  • Add coconut milk

Step 3: Steam sticky rice with gac fruit. 
Put the mixed mixture into the steaming tray of the Tapuho steam fryer and set the sticky rice steaming mode.

How to do as follows:

  • Pour water into the machine's tray. 
  • Start the machine and select the sticky rice steaming mode.
  • Adjust steaming time to 40 minutes

Steamed sticky rice with lotus seeds using Tapuho steam fryer

Prepare materials:

  • 500g fresh green rice
  • 180g green beans
  • 150g lotus seeds
  • 120g shredded coconut
  • 100g white sugar
  • Salt
  • Sesame oil

Making:

Step 1: Prepare ingredients

  • If using dry rice, soak in cold water for 2-3 minutes. Then rinse and drain. 
  • If using fresh rice, you just need to mix with 1 tablespoon of sesame oil.
  • With dried lotus seeds, soak overnight, with fresh lotus seeds, remove the bitter core and soak in water for 15 minutes.
  • Soak mung beans in hot water for about 3-4 hours or overnight, then rinse and drain.

Step 2: Cook the ingredients

  • Steam the mung beans in an air fryer, then pour into a bowl and mash. You can add a little sugar or salt to the beans to increase the flavor.
  • Put lotus seeds in a steamer tray until soft, have a rich taste but keep the seeds intact.
  • Saute shredded coconut over low heat and add sugar (if desired).

Step 3: Cook sticky rice

  • Pour about 500ml of water into the water tank of the Tapuho steam fryer. Put the rice in the tray and set to steam for 15 minutes. 
  • Add lotus seeds and mung beans to the sticky rice and stir well, turn on steaming mode for another 5 minutes.

Steamed pandan sticky rice with Tapuho steam fryer

Prepare materials:

  • 600g glutinous rice
  • 400ml fresh coconut milk
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 300g Malabar spinach leaves
  • 300g pandan leaves
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 mangoes
  • Shredded coconut

Making:

Step 1: Prepare ingredients

  • Soak sticky rice for about 2 hours.
  • Grind pandan leaves and Malabar spinach and squeeze to get the juice.
  • Soak sticky rice with pandan leaf water and Malabar spinach for 6-8 hours and add a little salt.

Step 2: Steam sticky rice

  • Remove sticky rice and drain.
  • Line the pandan leaves on the steamer tray and select the steam mode at 100 degrees for about 40 minutes.
  • Stir well after steaming the sticky rice. 

Step 3: Cook coconut milk

  • Add canned coconut milk and fresh coconut milk to the pot with 1 teaspoon salt and 2 teaspoons sugar. Boil and add tapioca starch to thicken the coconut milk and turn off the heat.
  • Mix coconut milk with sticky rice.
  • Add pandan leaves on top of the sticky rice and steam for another 10 minutes to make the sticky rice more fragrant and sticky.
